Possible Speaker


Dr. Chris Dede, from Harvard Graduate School of Education, talks about "Neomellennial Learning Styles: Implications for Higher Learning." He was the keynote speaker at the IHETS conference at the University of Indianapolis last week. He is a very engaged speaker without being over the top, quite academic without being boring or pompous, and can back up with research his points of view. Free Site For Educators' Blogs


Here's a free blogware site just for educators and students. It's a .org site and gets a little away from the more commercial feel of Blogger, not to mention that there are a different array of templates there.

Debunking the Boy Crisis


Not everyone believes boys are in crisis. In fact, two authors from Boston University and Brandeis have this to say: "Obsessing about a boy crisis or thinking that American teachers are waging a war on boys won't help kids. What will is recognizing that students are individuals, with many different skills and abilities. And that goes for both girls and boys."
